Doesn’t it seem like every industry BUT trucking is getting federal bailout money? Well, YRC (the largest public trucking company in the country) is asking for $1 billion from the government.

YRC (which operates Yellow Transportation and Roadway) has been forced to lay off thousands of workers worldwide and asked workers, including truckers, to take big pay cuts. YRC’s bank has allowed the company to slowly pay back debt by selling assets and other means. If YRC gets the money, they would be the first trucking company to receive federal aid.
