I am going to make thisĀ a simple/soft blog posting. I am feeling somewhat “summery” today, so I will write on that.
As summer begins to roll around the days get longer, hotter, and at times, more difficult. However, summer can also bring a lot of opportunities on the road.
For example, with the extra daylight, you may find more opportunities for photography. Taking pictures of unique places and things that you come across is a great way to share your life with your family and loved ones. If you see something interesting, don’t forget to take a picture.
What about your downtime? Summer hours allow for some extra light which can give a truck driver that chance to spend some time outdoors. I know some truck drivers like the ride their bikes while others take the opportunity to jog. If that sounds a little too healthy for you, maybe reading a book at a park is more your style.
What about golfing? Maybe you have time to get in a round of 9 holes or so. Or, maybe your time doesn’t allow for 9 holes. Instead, hit the range so the next time you golf with your buddies, you can smoke ‘em.
Whatever you do, be sure to take advantage of the extended daylight. Being outside can do wonders for a truck driver’s mood and happiness.
