Spring always brings a thought of renewal. Life from the newly defrosted soil. Beginnings. A new start. We bring it now, because spring 2010 believe it or not is just around the corner. This almost always means a boom in the amount of freight out there for trucking companies . That means there will be plenty of jobs posted out there in the trucking industry. Every thing from lumber to produce is going to be hauled by a truck. Follow this job search advice and you’ll be set this spring.
We realize that there are many people looking for jobs, so here are some ideas from us at National Truck Driving Jobs. For those looking for new trucking jobs in the spring of 2010, here is some advice.
If you are looking for a truck driving job and need training first, choose a truck driving school that will place you in your new job. Make sure there is placement ability, or better yet, a guarantee. A good example of this is at CRST. Based out of Southern California, they offer training and a job. This is the great scenario when starting a new career. I would much rather go this direction, then to graduate and then go home and hit the want ads. How about you?
The good news is that it is rare for any trucking company to bring on drivers without some schooling first. Some Trucking Companies won’t hire new drivers without one year’s experience first. Read the small print before applying and accepting a position.
Drivers with experience should not focus on pay-per-mile in this economy. Rather, look at the paid-miles. A good example of this is 50 cents per mile at 1200 miles. This is not good pay. The less paid per mile means less money per mile for you and your family.
Good luck this spring. We hope we helped you out

had a job in 05/2008 and backed int a truck late at night and it was dark and haven’t had a job since then. I think I am blackballed from driving. What should I do. thx
A lot of companies out there want to see that you are driving or have been driving. I would beg rob and steal my way into a driving job. Maybe even take a bad one. Time heals accidents like this. Just be extra safe on your next job!
i have had my cld for almost 4 years and i had a 15 over ticket on 495 in baltimore august 2009(the only ticket i have ever had) and due to that i think i’m red flagged and no one will give me a chance to get back in the saddle. is there anything i can do to overcome this obsticle and get back to driving besides waiting for 3 years? please comment back. thanks, mumbles.
